About
Hi I'm Emma- it's nice to meet you!
I'm an experienced Freelance Fashion Designer and Brand Consultant.

With over 14 years of fashion industry experience in both the corporate world and as a freelancer, I’ve developed highly successful fashion ranges for dozens of acclaimed international brands.
I work with a wide range of clients of all sizes - from globally-recognized commercial retailers, to new brands seeking comprehensive help turning great ideas into first collections.
In my extensive experience I’ve amassed skills across many roles - including senior-level design, creative direction, trend research, mass production, factory & textile sourcing, brand development and more. I work with each client to develop custom approaches that will maximize success within their unique business model.
I’m constantly developing new skills & knowledge to keep up with the rapid changes across the industry - including my
passion for modern sustainable & ethical design practices.

In addition to my work as a fashion designer, I am an instructor at Made Institute fashion school, where I teach a course
on The Business of Fashion. I also founded “Fashion And The Free”, an online magazine and podcast for industry professionals.

Away From Fashion...
I grew up in the UK, but currently reside in Southern California - I love hiking, camping, and exploring the world to stay on top of global trends. When I find the time, I love to go to pottery classes as well as creating new prints for my Etsy store!

Guilty Pleasures- Gin Cocktails, Quesabirra Tacos, Cheesy Fries and a good old British Pub!

Where you'll find me when I'm not working- at a beach or on a hiking trail
